Angles

This video is great for a fourth grade classroom. It describes three different types of angles; acute, right, and obtuse. The "rap" talks about what the angles look like as well as gives examples. It also shows students how to use a protractor to measure angles. This could be used at any part of a lesson and is fun and upbeat for students.

Draw points, lines, line segments, rays, angles (right, acute, obtuse), and perpendicular and parallel lines. Identify these in two-dimensional figures.

Greater Than, Less Than, and Equal To

These are both great videos that cover the same topic, greater than, less than, and equal to. This is a concept that some students may pick up easily while others may struggle and need extra practice and support. The first video is a song that explains a way to think of the signs as an alligators mouth. The first video only works with single digit numbers and provides few examples. The second video is longer and explains problems more in depth, it also compares double and triple digit numbers which is very important. The first video is great to introduce the topic and begin a lesson. The second video can be used later on in a lesson because it uses more complex lessons. Both are appropriate for a second grade classroom and are ideal for use in the classroom.

Compare two three-digit numbers based on meanings of the hundreds, tens, and ones digits, using >, =, and < symbols to record the results of comparisons.

Skip Counting

This is a great video that is ideal for a second grade class. The video belongs to a series that helps teach students skip counting by different numbers. The song is very catchy and gets students up and moving. I have used this series in the past and students responded great, they enjoyed being able to be active and dancing along with the video. Videos are great ways for students to have fun and learn new material. The video could be used in the beginning of a lesson or as a review. The song is very repetitive which is essential when teaching students new concepts.
